Scrappy Squares and more from Night Owl Quilting

Patrice brought this wonderfully scrappy quilt.  The squares are cut at 2" and I'm sure that although it is a lot of sewing, it didn't make a much of a dent in the scrap basket.

I love that Patrice used an interesting color for the background, as we often reach for white or cream when beginning a scrappy project.

Patrice chose the Calder pantograph which looks great on the front and coordinating backing.

Joanne had been in visiting Patrice and she made this lovely pastel batik quilt.

She selected the Gingersnap pantograph.  I love the small pieced strip ...

Calder from Night Owl Quilting

Inez brought this great quilt for some simple quilting.  I love the diagonal movement that it has.
When I took a look at the fabric prints there was one pantograph that immediately came to mind.  Inez agreed that Calder was the prefect choice and I was off to the races with this one.

White thread to match the top and a light green thread to match the backing.

Patrice's String Quilt and 2 more from Night Owl Quilting

Patrice brought three quilts that she made to donate to her favorite charity including this lovely string quilt.

Patrice requested the Quilter's Dream Puff batting for this one as the top was quite heavy because the the fabric foundation the blocks were pieced on.  She selected the Popcorn pantograph and we decided that this was the perfect opportunity to use a fun yellow thread.

The quilting show up great on the yellow and white striped sheet Patrice used for the backing.

The other two quilts were flannels in a Canadian theme.  We decided on the Calder pantograph for both ...

Color Jolt from Night Owl Quilting

This fun and cheerful quilt is a new store sample for Keystone Modern Creative.  The pattern is called Color Jolt by Sparkle Stash.  The pretty rainbow of fabrics that Leslie used are the Ombre Wovens by V & Co. for Moda.

Leslie and I decided on the Calder pantograph and I like the balance of simple curves and angles that it adds.

And the plum Fireside backing was so pretty!

Quilts for Grandsons from Night Owl Quilting

Marlene made these two wonderful quilts for her grandsons.  She made them Christmas quilts with Fireside backing a couple of years ago and they always want to use them early in the fall and well into the new year much to their mom's dismay.  So Marlene made new neutral quilts with the cozy backing they love so much.

The first quilt is called Nuts and Bolts and Marlene found it in the 2006 Spring/Summer edition of Quilt Sampler Magazine.

Marlene selected the Gatsby pantograph for this one.

The second one is a pattern called Square Dance by Gigi ...

Alice's Garden from Night Owl Quilting

This lovely earthy quilt was made by Amy.  The pattern is called Alice's Garden from Down Grapevine Lane.  Amy used a wonderful fabric collection called Homebody by Maureen Cracknell for Art Gallery Fabrics.

Amy selected one of my newer pantographs called "Calder" and I think it compliments the pattern very nicely.
